Audition

Do you Play or Sing?

Auditions will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Golden Gate High School. Please see the instructions below to schedule your audition.  Please complete the Audition Form and email, mail, or bring it with you to audition.

Audition Information

  • Instrumentalists and vocalists should Contact Us for an appointment.
  • Come prepared with a short (one minute) selection of your own choosing.
  • You may then be asked to play or sing simple scales, and to sight-read a passage
  • Our season runs from November through April.
  • Print out the Audition Form and bring it with you to your audition.

Rehearsal Schedule

  • Orchestra and chorus rehearsals start early in November for December concerts.
  • Rehearsals for February concerts start the first week of January.
  • Rehearsals for Spring concerts commence immediately after February concerts.
  • The church concerts are performed in the week prior to Easter.  Rehearsals for these concerts are in the two weeks prior to Palm Sunday.
  • Orchestra rehearsals – The first orchestra rehearsal is Saturday Nov. 3rd. The time is 9:00 AM. For the first rehearsal, members should arrive by 8:30 AM to register, get their music and pay dues.
  • Chorus rehearsals – The first chorus rehearsal is Monday October 27th. The rehearsal time is 6:30 PM. For the first rehearsal, members should arrive by 6:00 PM to register, pick up their music and pay dues.
