A native of Hong Kong, Aaron Chan started playing the violin at age 5.  After enrolling in the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts Chan was off to the Cleveland Institute of Music where he is currently studying with Stephen Rose and Jinjoo Cho.

Chan has also participated numerous competitions and orchestra festivals, including the 1st Prize in the 4th ASEAN International Concerto Competition (aged 18-25), 3rd prize in the 1st Global Youth Music Competition (violin) in Sydney, and becoming the concertmaster of Asian Youth Orchestra in the year of 2013, having the opportunity to cooperate with renowned cellist Steven Isserlis. Chan has also participated in the Hong Kong Music Festival, which is seen as one of the most vital competitions in Hong Kong.
